Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development (SASD) announces its sixth year of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy workshops. Workshops are held the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10am to 3pm. Pre registration is required. The fee is $75 which includes a one year membership in SASD. Participants are asked to bring their current electric and heat bills as well as the footprint of their home or other building.

Beginning with a review of energy conservation measures, this workshop quickly moves to an introduction to solar electric (photo voltaic), solar thermal, wind, micro-hydro, geo-thermal. Includes cost, production, grant information as well as review of energy savings on several systems in operation on the farm. Also includes inspection of on-site straw bale house and used-vegetable oil-run pick up truck. Please bring a bag lunch; beverages will be provided.

The dates are March 13th, April 10th, May 8th, June 12th, July 10th, August 14th, September 11th, October 9th, and November 13th.
